Project Overview

Creating a card game where players use bets to beat each other. This game is similar to poker and popular in Eastern Europe.

Task
Come up with a visual style for the game, work out UX/UI, create all the game content from items to sounds.

Analysis

Studying competitors helped us find a distinctive visual style for the game. At the same time, we developed a technical specification and compiled a product backlog.

Research

At this stage, we worked out the visual part in more detail. We adjusted the color scheme and font part, and developed the style of game items. We also developed the main controls and their behavior. All this helped us give the game a unique appearance and gaming experience, which distinguished it from other games of the genre.

Logo

We developed a simple and dynamic logo for the game. Its feature is that each part can be used independently without losing recognizability.

UI Kit

For convenience and speed of creating new features, we assembled a basic kit with all the main controls.

Game Lobby

For comfortable interaction of the player with the product, we decided to divide the lobby screen into three parts: Personal, Game Core, and Meta Activities. All parts are compositionally balanced with each other, which gives integrity and clarity to the user's perception.

Game Room

The room screen consists of two parts: The Control Panel and the Game Space itself, simulating a table with players. The game process and interaction between players are displayed at the table. And on the control panel, the player has access to the main actions.
Thanks to the formed technical specification, the developed style, UI-Kit and fine-tuned communication, the process of assembling windows was as fast as possible. Iterations were not complicated and did not take much time. Thanks to this, we made about 300 units of windows in 4 months of work.

Windows

We developed a style for game items that matched the spirit of the game. We also created about 60 units of props, including gifts, achievements, rewards, etc.

Epilogue

The result of the well-coordinated work was a game released in half a year. Positive feedback from the first 100K players in a month and their regular feedback made us realize that the undertaking was not in vain.
